Wilson returned to the Orkney Islands for further filming on the project featuring local legend of the 19th century, Jack Renton who survived eight violent years on an island in the Solomons.

Renton’s experiences there have still not been fully revealed. They become the focus of Chasing the Codes, which explores the strict hereditary local custom of story telling – and links this craft to the story tellers of Orkney.
